Cancellation Policy

At Simpson Air, we understand that plans can change. To ensure fairness and clarity for all of our customers, we’ve outlined our cancellation policy below. Please review the terms carefully to avoid any unnecessary fees. We kindly ask that cancellations be made at least one week in advance to receive a full refund or to reschedule without charge. For cancellations made after this window, a fee may apply. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact us!

Cancellation Fee Breakdown

7+ Day Prior to Planned Departure

When a cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the planned departure, no cancellation charges shall be levied. 

<7 days, >24 hours Prior to Planned Departure 

When a cancellation is made less than 7 days but more than 24 hours prior to the planned departure of the flight, 50% of the total air transportation contract price will be retained by the carrier.

<24 hours Prior to Planned Departure

When a cancellation is made less than 24 hours prior to the planned departure of the first flight, 100% of the total air transportation contract price will be retained by the carrier. 

Additional Information

  • No Show Policy

    • Passengers who do not show up for their flight will loose their deposit and potentially be charged for the full cost of the charter. 

  • Refund Policy

    • Application for refund shall be made to the carrier or its duly authorized Agent.

    • If a portion of the agreed transportation has been completed, refund will be the difference between the fare, rate or charge paid and the fare, rate or charge applicable to the portion of the agreed transportation completed, less any applicable cancellation charges, as specified in this tariff. 

    • If weather conditions are unfavourable, Simpson Air will not fly. The flight will be postponed until weather conditions improve. If weather conditions the previous day were unfavourable, then the first postponed flight will be first to go when weather conditions improve. Those passengers scheduled for the current day will go on the flight when the other group returns. 

    • If the weather does not cooperate while passengers are in Fort Simpson and therefore must be cancelled, Simpson Air will refund any deposits and/or prepaid fight.
